Default Heat Press on top of Silk Screen Items

Can you heat press letters on a t-shirt that already has a silk screen item on it. The heat press would be touching the silk screen logo.

I disagree with vctradingcubao. Yes, you can do it - but I don't think you should do it. It changes the texture of the screenprinted image - dulls it out - flatens it.

If adding to a screenprinted shirt, I'd suggest (assuming that you have a little bit of room on the shirt between the existing screenprinted design and the added inkjet transfer design) that you don't press the screenprinted image. Place the shirt on the pallet so that the screenprinted part isn't in contact with the heating pallet. If you do have to heatpress over a silkscreened image, I'd recommend placing a teflon sheet over the decals - between the shirt and the heating pallet - to prevent the designs from sticking.
