I just got my cap press and press a few hats and are very happy with it. But now I want to print something on the back, above the opening. The hat won't fit in the bottom spring clip because of the bill. Is there a trick to getting it to work. Or do you just have to not use the spring clip?

I don't use the spring clip, just hold the hat in place with one hand then press with the other.

how big you press on the back of the cap?

As small as 1" X.25" and as big as 2" x3", it just depends on the logo and what the customer wants. I use heat tape to hold the design down while pressing.
