Default Re: pigmented ink

Hi All,

I'm new on here and based in the UK, hope that someone will be willing to help me with a question relating to 'pigment ink' systems in a Epson R1800 please. I've just come back from the Sign UK exibition and they advised me to get the following ink to print on a 'flex' paper to heat transfer onto my garments. Question to all,
1. Is there many different pigment inks out there ? or one only compatible / reliable to the Epson R1800?
2. I see that it is only available in the US a Continuous Pigment Ink Supply System - how many have used this option and what is your opinion on these please ?
3. Who has used this pigment heat transfer application to garments and what are your views on this way of t-shirt signage please ?

I would greatly appreciate your feedback as I dont seem to get that much help in the UK ?

Many thanks

Have a look at Continuous Ink They have the bulk systems and pigment inks for the R1800. I've not dealt with this company so cannot vouch for them.
The bulk systems are certainly worth it, I do dye sublimation with the 1290 and bulk system. A big saving on using cartridges.
