Default Best Blanks or ?????? to purchase Hix HL Hobby Lite: 9"x12"

Just as I thought I was ready to really spread my sole proprietor wings, I discovered it's best to have a heat press versus a home iron. I initially used a cheesy brand of transfer paper from the craft store that work well with home irons. The samples I did looked so home ec-ish and I couldn't comfortably market anything with a plastic logo that looked like I taped it on to the shirt . I used an iron with the WONDERFUL Jetflex premium paper (recommended here ) and was delighted as well as horrified. The areas that transferred properly looked so professional (delight) but the areas that did not get enough heat/pressure were cracked and horrendous (horrified) . So I have come to terms with getting a heat press. I am under extreme budgetary constraints and I have limited space so I won't be able to purchase an industrial heat press for now. I am interested in the Hix HL Hobby Lite: 9"x12" - Hobby Heat Press to start off with Hix HL Hobby Lite: 9"x12" - Hobby Heat Press. (I am designing childrens t-shirts so I won't stress about a bigger press for now) and I am thinking of ordering it from Best Blanks. Is this a good place to purchase it from? Is there another place that'd be better to purchase this press from? I thought about purchasing a press form EBay but with machinery such as this it's best to have warranties/guarantees and all that good stuff.

Yes, bestblanks is a good vendor to deal with. You can also check the vendors and pricing on this page to see if other vendors listed might have any special offers on the same (or similar) heat press which would make the price even lower: http://www.t-shirtforums.com/view_sponsoroffers.htm

You may also want to look into the GeoKnight 9x12 Geo Knight 9 x 12 Digital Swinger JetPress - Free Shipping - JP12 & BLANK SHIRTS - Geo Knight JP12 JetPress 9x12 Swinger. It is a little cheaper and a good name as well.

I purchased my heat press pad cover from best blanks. they messed up the order but they fixed it pretty quick so i have to give credit for that. However I find some of the prices on their site very high.

I purchased a 15x15 heat press off ebay for less than 400 bucks brand new including shipping. It is not a well known brand but I just used it on an order for heat applied vinyl on baseball shirts and it did an exceptionally fantastic job. I am very happy with it. If you want to know where I got it and see a pic just email me and i will try and look it up in my ebay account. misterscreenprint @ gmail.com be sure to remove the spaces on each side of the @ in the address.
