Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Just got a used heat press with model # MRGM1620. It's a 16x20" heat press by M&R, at M&R Companies, Amscomatic, Nuarc.
I am hoping somebody out there has the machine or another model by them - I can't seem to find much info online or even on their website... they seem to do big company machinery as well as screenprinting presses....
Thanks in advance.
well, they had me leave a message for somebody who's out of the office til next week, so I won't know anything for a while. I was hoping somebody knew of this heat press so I can get some background on it. (how good is it, etc, etc)
another person called back today.
he said they stopped producing the presses 2 yrs ago, and they were made by a company named "National". Unfortunately it's hard to find much on that company with an internet search ('national' is way too common).
I wonder if by chance anybody has a contact or knows offhand about the quality of these heatpresses...

There is some information about National brand heat presses in the forum. From what I remember, I think the opinions were pretty good.
well at least that's good to hear.
I'm ready to start a couple test samples on it...
wish me luck!
PS - Rodney - your post on your experiences with transfer makers was very helpful.
