Bleeding shouldn't be an issue with the DPI setting. It may be the inks you are using. Are you using dye or pigment based inks?

I use the same printer and do not see much of a prbolem with bleeding. You can set the ink density. In the printing preferences you can set print quality to textand phot, photo, best photo. Use usually use photo. The hoigher quality you select, the more ink you get on the transfer.

Try experimenting with different pressure, time and temperature settings on your press. We use 370 deg, 10 seconds and moderate pressure for most of our transfers.

DPI or dots per inch is a file attribute associated with your image. You can scan at higher or lower resolution. High resolution gives clearer images but larger files. We generally find anything over 300 to 400 dpi OK for our transfers.

Check to make sure your not using a dye ink. If you are you need to switch to pigment inks.

It doesn't really say on their site. It mentions that they replace the OEM inks, and the models they show use pigment. Some other questions to ask would be:

• What paper are you using?
• And are you talking about actually seeing the color come off, of a little bit of fading of the image. Some fading of the image is to be expected and can also be affect by how/what you wash with.

Thanks for all the input I have tested shirts from a recent job and no bleding so i hope it was just a fluke. I did increase my pressing time to 10 seconds i was using the minimum acording to the instructions from best blanks which was 8 seconds, but now since the change the transfere is peeling easier. And i also switched from printing in text and graphic to photo. so we will see once again thanks for all the input.

Brian,
My first heat transfer sheets were from bestblanks. I have some bleeding issues as well. Are you using their paper. I had a hard time with it peeling smoothing and would stretch the shirt and image. I also had to press longer with more pressure and it did get better.

Good luck! It sounds like you figured it out.

Yes, I am using the paper from best blanks i have not had to many issues, and the recent press time change seems to have improved the ease of peeling. I just ordered the jetflex paper so i will see if that is better alot of pepole on here have recomended that.

I ended up not using BestBlanks' paper very long and went with the IronAll paper from NewMilford. Much happier.
