Re: Pricing Single Shirt Orders? I don't usually special order items without some way to recover the shipping cost. In most cases, I order at least once per week and end up with "free freight" because I am above the $200 or $250 minimum order for free shipping. When not, the customer generally is charged at least some of the freight cost.
A general rule of thumb is: the customer price for a shirt is double the wholesale cost. If I pay $9.99 for a shirt, the customer pays $19.98, before decoration. A $10 wholesale cost shirt would sell as a single item for about $29 if my decorating costs for a left chest logo where $10.
Do I ever eat the freight. Of course, if it is for my benefit. Sometimes I want to get a sample into a certain organization. Sometimes it is a courtesy thank for someone who placed a large order. Other times I justify it as part of a proposal cost.
Good luck.
