issue me a large sedative!! The paper jams sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. By the way, whoever gave the information on changing the colors in the advanced settings, thank you thank you! When my printer does work, the images come out amazing. But I waste so so much transfer paper jamming in this stinking thing. I have read all the steps in the manual, done what it says to do, and nothing! Should I buy a new printer? I have read a little on here about different ones and it has confused me more ha! I was thinking a 5000 or 6000, but it said it comes with dye inks, and I want pigment, and I am not sure if they sale the pigment for those printers in store... how I would know which ones to get! I have an order to do ASAP! Could someone help me pretty please, little frazzled here! Thanks so much in advance!
Also, can someone explain to me what ultrachrome ink is? Sounds really cool, just couldn't really figure out its benefits or if it just changes the look?

Just return the epson c88 for another one. It's obvious that it's not working properly
Re: If I have to use my Epson C88 printer for one more day, someone is going to have to
The C88 is a cheap printer and I had low expectations for it. Since it is cheap, we figured we could replace it every few months if necessary. We are not a high volume user. We print about 10 transfers per day on average. We put in a bulk ink system with Magic Mix ink. We have the occasional clogged head, but the only real problem we have is getting globs of ink smeared onto the non-print area. This happens about once every 25 prints. After 8 months, only one or two jams. I agree, you have a bad unit. Try again,, and expect better results.

My problems with the C88 is minimum. Make sure you test printing with different paper type. With the opaque paper, I sometimes get a jam, but rarely. I try to be mindful while printing and look for the jam. I use mostly the regular transfer paper even for white tshirts. Not sure who thought opaque is good for dark tees. The regular transfer works great.

Thanks everyone for responding! So the C88 should work better than this? I have had it for a while. I will try replacing it, when I bought it, they were discontinuing it. I am seeing a CX5000, and CX6000 online, anything I should consider with these two?
Re: If I have to use my Epson C88 printer for one more day, someone is going to have to
I went through having to replace three C88+ printers after initial setup due to paper jamming. There is a known issue with the mechanism pulling the paper and causing the jams. It's very sensitive and if you go to pull a jammed paper out, it can cause the mechanism to pull the paper at an angle from that point on causing the jams. Once that happens, It's time to get a new one.
I am on my fourth one, and so far, so good, but just in case, I have a brand new one sitting in a box in the garage as a back-up.
I have an Epson R340, R200 and CX7800 - all work great and I've had no problem with jams on them.

so here i was playing poker on line (free games ESPN) and while I was doing that I printed 50 sheets of iron All/ translution paper (both) and I did not have one problem? No jamming, no misprints, no flaking.. just great prints. Now tomorrow I have to cut and print...

Hey! Where do you get your ironall paper? I am usually doing whites, and now that I think about it, I didn't get as many jams as I have now until I started using the new paper from coasta. The place I used to order from, when I got on their site, said they were no longer selling it. Could you give me a link? Thanks!

Click (or hover your mouse over) on the word ironall in the posts above and you'll see a yellow box that will give you several places to buy the ironall paper.
