Default Help With Heat Press Shirt Methods??

Me And My Firend Are New To All Of This.
We Just Bought A 16x20 Heat Press And Am Wondering The Different Techniques To Make Shirts With The Heat Press. Ive Been Reading About The Transjet 11 Paper And The Epson Printer With The Magic Ink......is There Other Ways Too, Ive Read A Few Complaints About This Technique Though.
Also Is Plastisol Transfers Associated With A Heat Press?
Thanks In Advance

Yes plastisol is associated with a heatpress. If you search the forums you will find good stuff written about all available techniques, good luck!

You can also apply Thermoflex vinyl using a heat press if you have a vinyl cutter.

And those are your 3 main options:

Regular Transfers:
Advantages: You can print any number of colors. You can easily just print one at a time. Fairly easy to do yourself as it only requires a printer on the right inks.
Disadvantages: You can only print on to light colored shirts. The quality isn't as good as with other methods.

Plastisol:
Advantages: You can print on dark shirts. You can still print on demand like other transfers (which you can't do with full-blown screen printing). Good quality.
Disadvantages: You will have to order these in advance from another company. You will have to order several at a time. Colors are limited.

Vinyl/Flock:
Advantages: You can print on dark shirts. You can print them yourself. You can do single runs (1 shirt at a time).
Disadvantages: You need to buy a vinyl cutter. You have to manually weed out excess vinyl, which is difficult for complex designs.
