Default Epson 4000 quality/cost

Hi everyone,

Hi have an epson 4000 loaded with ultrachrome inks.
I have never used transfers with this printer.

What kind of quality can I expect with this setup?

How can I calculate the cost of printing (ink), for instance, a full color 8x10 imprint?

thanks,
Ron

Each graphic will consume different volumes of ink. You should be able to calculate very precisely the volumes used by using the data on the nozzle check.

Print the nozzle check before you run your transfers and then again after and calculate the differences. Using your known costs ($/ml) you can get a very precise estimate.

I've never seen that data on any of my printer nozzle checks. Is that something only the 4000 does?

The 4000 & 4800 will provide this data. I am 99% sure the wide format Epsons have this as well. I have never seen it on any Epson desktop model.
