Default Do I Need a New Printer - the Epson 88?

Hi Gang! First I'd like to thank everyone on this site for answering many of my burning questions> you guys are awesome. I am getting started in the t shirt biz and so far I have a heat press, Coral Draw and a Dell AIO printer...it is a new model but from the threads I've read the common choice printer is the Epson 88> can I make it happen without one or should i buckle down and invest?

The C88 is nice cause it is relatively inexpensive and uses pigment inks, which are better. If your Dell uses pigment inks, then you should be fine.

Uhhh, Stupid newbie question here, but how do you know if your printer uses pigmented inks or not.

I have a Dell AIO as well. If it doesn't use pigmented inks, can I purchase a CIS unit or since I'm a newbie, a CIS unit is a bit of a jump.

I wouldn't jump into a CIS uinit just yet. I would see how thing are going first.
I see a lot of sites offering CIS systems for Epson, not sure about Dell.

I don't know what ink the Dells use. You might try researching that ink on the internet and see if info about it pops up.

When I went to the Delll site, it said they have standard and high capacity inks.

Can I not purchase a different type of ink to print transfers?

Some places sell pigmented ink for various printers. Dell usually isn't one of them though. I've mostly seen Epson and HP.
