OK.. I got this call because I am famous.. no, let me start over.. I got this call because I am an expert.. no, that won't do either.. OK, I got this call from a company because they saw my videos on youtube and want me to test some ink in a different way.. the end results could make the "New paper" you know the one with many names.. can be made to last longer and stay vibrant after washing.. or great wasability.. I hope that is a word.. anyway I am getting some cartridges filled with this ink that this company wants me to try.. I love free stuff.. Then they want me to follow the instructions as they give them to me.. I am good at that because I am married.. Then if it does what they say it does.. guess who I am going to tell... Anyway I should get the cartridges by Wednesday and I will keep you updated.. I mean the"New paper" is great (at least to us that know how to use it) but making it better.. can't wait. Lou (Sir badalou) you know I was knighted right... not officially... but one of the members has connections..
So, I get the ink filled cartridges.. but they are for wrong unit.. Then I find out that they don't have cartridges for my cx7800. I already have cis for c88+) I have my own blank cartridges for cx7800 which I empty of the little filled ink I had in them and try to remove ink from cartridges that are wrong.. Bummer.. not easy.. So they send bottles of ink to fill those to make my life easier. Then I find that the chips need to be reset and I order chip reseter.. but has not come so i am still waiting to test new inks which I have but can't use yet. Confused.. me too.
Welcome to the wonderful world of product testing,
the few times that I was involved, it was of the pig's
ear to silk purse conversions that are not what they seem.
I am interested in your test results as I'm using Translution
transfer paper and would like to find an ink that resists fading.
Ok, so I am at frys yesterday and I find a chip resetter for 10 bucks.. I come home and reset my cartridges and this weekend I will be using translution paper (iron All, Everlast, jetflex) Thsi company calls it transultion. I have the ink, which i am not sure what it is called but it is a pigment fabric ink that is used in DTG printers I understand. It is also not cheap.. but the idea is to allow us who use The new paper (named above) to sell a shirt that has limited fading and increased washability. So the test is now scheduled this weekend when I catch up. Lou I will be doing a video.. and pictures..
