Red face Heat transfers for words

Do heat transfers work well when you are just printing words on shirts? I have Jetflex premium paper and wanted to see how the shirt looks when it is a transfer with words. Since you don't necessarily want to cut between the words. Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

I think words transfer fine with the good, stretchy transfer paper...here's one I printed a few days ago with IronAll paper & a sample Gildan shirt...the text came out really nice & virtually no noticable border (trimmed the paper about 1/8" around the outside of the design)

I had a sign shop use some sort of computerized program to cut lettering that was then melted into or bonded onto strips of canvas using a high heat press that stood on the floor and was about three and a half feet hight. The end product was a long strip of canvas with a quote on it. I used it for an upholstery project. the owner of the shop sold that machine. Does anyone know what that process is and where I could find a company that would do that sort of printing for me? The lettering was a black plastic and was fed through the cutter from a roll. There were several colors available. You could then wash, iron, do anything with it without it being damaged. It was extremely durable.

Hi Shelly...
That process is vinyl cut letters. Heat transfer vinyl is purchased on a roll and cut with a vinyl cutter in mirror image, than it is heat pressed to the material (shirt, canvas, etc.)

Where can I get that done or should I look around locally?
