Default Boo-z Transfers

After several mess up new tees and calling Boo-z, I am convinced there is a problem with their transfers. For some reason, I continue to not get the transfer to transfer from the transfer to the tshirt entirely.

Some of the areas on the transfer will not transfer. I have my heat set to 399 and pressing for 10 seconds. These are the settings Boo-z has suggested. The pressure is the same for all other transfers I have prepared.

frustrated and dont want to keep wasting my tees on this booozy stuff

Try running the temp up to 405 and add 4 seconds to your time. Also tweak the pressure up just a bit.

welcome to the world of heat transfers. i had a ton of problems with transfers from x-it. i tried what i think was every setting in the book. i used the temp, time, and preasure they suggested.....didnt work. i kept the same temp and time, changed the preasure to heavier, then heavier. then lighter and even lighter.....didnt work. next i used there temp, and preasure, and adjusted time from up to +5, +5, +5, next -5,-5,-5.....didnt work. next i gave the temp a shot......same thing. i ruined the first 10 transfers trying to use different stlys they supplied me. then i started to play around with the settings i just wrote about. i used the same ten ruined shirts to try to make it work. there went another 10 transfers. i kept a log of every setting i used. after it was said and done, i ruined about 30 shirts, and close to 40 transfers. and yes i do have a temp gun, i even went out and bought another to make sure it was the right settings, this is an addition to the temperature reading on my press. needless to say i called and emailed them. when i finally talked to some lady there i was told the guy that answers questions was not there, i left him a message....he never called back. maybe he has a long list and hasnt come around to my name on the list. who knows.
bottom line some companys are good. i have had good success with ace trancfer company....transfer express...and 1st street graphics. i cant speack for any others. there is a post somewhere that rates alot of these companies im sure you can find it here somewhere. as far as x-it goes i just gave up. maybe i just did something wrong who knows. there customer service just didnt do it for me.....but like everything in life, check for yourself, i cant imagine there like that with everyone.

Default Re: Boo-z Transfers

I received a sample bundle from Boo-Z and with the settings sent with them I got great results. I use medium ti light/heavy pressure and mine came out nice. It was soft handed, not really stiff and even coated. Having an analog temp gauge, the best I can say is I run just over 375 and just under the 400 mark. The pressure I use with my Mighty press 15x15 is just hard enough to give a little unf just before it locks. Not so much that you have to struggle but still enough to know its locked. I count to 3 before I hot peel my transfers and from what I ve read the time left before the peel can be just as important as the temp and pressure. And yes for those not in the know, unf is a technical term use for the measure of required *** used to lock a heatpress.
