Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Hello, we need to pin down the type of paper that has a backing sheet, which you print the design back to front and is for dark shirts? hope that makes sense. Any help would be much appreciated.
I dont think you print opaque paper in mirror image. I think that is only for paper designed for lite colored gear. Doesnt the opaque get printed normal image and then you remove the backing paper and press the thing?
We are not really sure mate. We have some transfer paper which we print on the right way up and then peel it away, place it on the T shirt then heat press it on. But we need to print a small logo on some Dark shirts only the logo has white in it so we need to be able to print on the paper, cut the logo in our cutter, weed it with the backing still on there, press it on to our T shirts and peel the backing away. Hope that clears it up. Thanks again.
That is correct. If the paper has a backing that you peel away before applying you don't print in mirror image. But the term is opaque for dark garments. Paper for light colors=mirror image.
opaque paper for darks with registration marks for the plotter to cut. Follow Solmu's link. The paper for lites is transparent, printed in reverse, pressed paper up image down. The logo must have a few colors if you arent using vinyl.
