Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I'm guessing the vinyl is supposed to lay on top of the plastisol transfer. You can try to press the transfer, let it cool, place the vinyl down and cover with the teflon sheet and press again. I dont know if that vinyl is going to stick properly to the transfer ink. This is a testing situation for sure. I would rather it be the transfer on top of the vinyl.
David, actually it is the Trans on top of the Vinyl.

I think that will work but its still a testing situation. Press the vinyl then press the transfer with the teflon sheet and hope the high temp from the transfer doesnt bake the vinyl. If the two didnt overlap you would be home free.
OK, well I just tried it. The vinyl goes down great, then I let it cool and put the transfer on top of the vinyl, correct time and temp. but it did not stick very well to the vinyl, any suggestions anyone?

Are you cutting your own vinyl? If so, perhaps you could cut in a way to remove any vinyl that would be under the transfer and instead have the vinyl reach just to the very edges of the transfer?
This is going to sound a little silly. This is for a friend of mine. He works for the County and his shirts have an embroidered design on the shirt in the shape of the circle. The county gives them 10 new shirts every 6 months with the understanding that the cannot use them personally unless the remove or cover up the design. SO, I cut a circle to go directly over the design and that is fine, BUT I wanted to put a simple transfer over that so the vinyl circle did not jump out at you. And as I stated the transfer does not adhere WELL to the vinyl.
