Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
we are printing on a full button front mesh baseball jersey and we have ran into some problems, the side that has the buttons has a double seam, we've tried to lift that side with a mousepad, cardboard, etc. and the print is better on the seam than on the jersey. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have to have these done tonight, ( coach is coming to get them) we can't figure it out hopefully one of ya'll can.
we tried a piece of card board, just about anything in the house. I made a mistake earlier in my post, it's the side that had the button holes, it was about 1/4 of an inch thick then we had the flat mesh material. That's when we tried to "build up" the flat part to make it even but that didn't work either. I"m not understanding the squeegie, could you elaborate more on that please?
Thanks,
Jenn

Are you using printed transfers, cut vinyl or plastisol?
You think the pressure is good on the placket, put too light on the garment?
You printing one side at a time, not the whole front? (2 plackets and buttons thick)
I've used a stack of regular printer paper to even up the thickness in garments. Figure out how many sheets you need to get a level surface. Put the paper tight to the edge of the placket, but not under it. (remember to do a few pre presses of the paper to dry the sheets out.) If you do it right, the press will put equal pressure on the placket and the single layer thickness of the jersey.
Hope this helps.
A teflon pad would work well for this application, but you can't go get one tonight. Try imprintables.com
I just meant that , since teh part that has the button holes is higher, print as you have been,. and tehn take a 6" squeege , and ONLY print the lower part. This will even out the ink deposit, and even out the print.
{I assume the problem is a gap in ink between where the button hole panel stops, and the thin mesh begins?}
hows that?
ok, gotcha now, We printed a transfer from pro world, I told them what material we were using however, none of us knew that the holes would be that big. I think for future reference If someone wants a set of full button downs printed, the labor price just went through the roof We finished them last night, I wasn't very happy but the coach loved them so I guess that's what matters. This order has been a nightmare, the company I ordered from sent the wrong pants, then when I got to the jerseys, they sent two of the wrong jerseys, If anyone has any companies that they highly recommend for sports uniforms, I'm all ears!!! If anybody else reads this and has some helpful hints for future reference, I'd appreciate it, Thanks guys!

We had an order like that. Safety Green shirts with black lettering. The shirts seemed to discolor in the heat press but I guess I was the only one that noticed. They went over great!
I saw these guys at the some trade show. They looked pretty good.
