Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Hello everyone,
I got my samples from Josh@ Imprintables (thank you Josh) about a week ago and I finally had some time to try out the new kid on the block, the Jetflex (light blue color back). At first I had hard time with the printer(epson c88). The paper kept on getting caught at the end of the printing process. I tried bending the corners a little but same problems with the rest of the prints. The colors on the prints came out more vivid than the prior paper I was using. I had some frustrating flaking when cutting the designs. When I heat pressed the paper, I must tell you that I was impressed with the look and feel of the paper, very soft to the touch. I also stretched the designs post pressing per Babalou's advice and although due to user error the borders were visible in some transfers, overall I liked the paper. If anyone has any advice about the printing problem that I am having, help a brother out.
That was desi arnez.. I am badalou.. Anyway make sure your printer is stable. if the printer is not on a sturdy table it moves as it prints causing the paper to shift and that was a big problem for me back on 06.. seems so long ago.. LOL.. Lou B A D A L O U

I will try another surface and see if that works, thanks Babalou. I also believe that your youtube posting adviced on the stretching so I took the idea from there =).

I had Samples of Iron all and of jetflex. I liked both they seemed almost identical. The jetflex seemed to have less flaking then iron all and is cheaper. I had one complaint the shipping and handling from Imprintables is really high and I'm not sure if they are cheaper with the high shipping cost. I received my order in a day which was great! I just wish instead of using flat shipping fees they would use actual or closer to actual shipping price.
Hey John,
They are both the same, just like Eversoft feel from Coastals. From what I have read in the forums they have had two different batches and the one that people like are the sheets with the bluish green backing. I believe that it all comes down to the shipping price.

Hi Lou,
I also had the same problem of the printer and paper. I was printing on the milford opaque, and i found that when the printing is done there are lines on the desidn, kinda like it was jamming a little bit. Don't think it really and issue of the printer moving cuz mine doesn't. Help please?
