Smile Papers suitable for Docucolor (UK based)

Hi All,

Just taken delivery of a colour laser printer and will soon 'inherit' a heat press. Although I have plenty of experience with screen printing (but stopped a few years ago) my only transfer experience has been domestic iron and hope for the best.
Would anyone have some advice for a transfer newbie with regard to the different type of papers one would need for light/dark colour shirts etc.
I can't wait to get started but as I don't have all the equipment yet I'm just trying to prepare myself for when it eventually arrives!

Any help grewatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Jen

Hi Jen, I use TTC 3.1 from the magic touch (The Magic Touch (GB) Ltd - Full Colour Image Transfer Paper, Heat Press, Transfer Printing, Heat transfer paper) here in England, there is a printer compatability guide on their site, if your printer is not listed just drop tech support an email. Also you could try Merlin Transfers (Merlin Transfers for laser, inkjet and thermal transfer papers.) I have tried Lazatrans, works good too, even though I use an Epson C900 CLP (oil free) not a docucolour.

Also if your not bothered if you buy from overseas, there is a thread on here for the Duracotton papers........

Hope this is of some help
