Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Would any damage be done to a design if you were to press a standard plastisol transfer first and then press a different color/style/design later in the same vicinity? Would the first transfer be burnt to a crisp, and if so, is there anything that could be done to avoid this?
I just ordered my HIX from Coastal today so I won't be able to find out for myself for a little while
If you press it later, I would make sure you place some kind of plastisol transfer paper over your already pressed transfer. It will make it smoother every time you do it, but it would protect it. Of course, it's always best to try to do them all at the same time.

If you have to press twice, let the shirt cool down a bit before re-pressing, and always use a teflon sheet over the already pressed area. If you press it while it's still hot, some of the transfer will likely leave the shirt and transfer back on to the teflon sheet.
The only 'negative effect' to this is that it will tend to give the re-pressed area a shiny/glossy; look; some people prefer this, others do not.
