Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
i know this has been answered but y can't you make plastisol transfer, can't you buy the machine somewhere that prints on plastisol paper.
The equipment used to print plastisol transfers is the same equipment (basically) as screenprinting equipment.
It is just done on release paper using a little different ink (I think).

There is no such machine, or such paper. Plastisol is the ink, not the paper. As the other threads explain, it gets on the paper through screenprinting. So if you can screenprint you can create plastisol transfers, if you can't you can't.
an auto-press and the rest that goes with it, the production line runs about 40-60 feet long and you would also need an enclosed screen room, plus a reclaiming/wash area etc...
I saw one earlier on Ebay for abour $6500 - used. And that's the lowest price I've ever seen for one of these. I have a really, really old West German (Universal Hydrolics) paper cutter too.
