Default Good deal on a 1280 CIS

I've only had it installed for a week now so it's a little early for a comprehensive review but......so far I'm impressed with my CIS from Inkrepublic.com. Simple installation, a few head cleanings and purging prints, and we were off and printing. I try to run at least one print a day on it just to avoid clogging and so far I've only one bad nozzle check which was quickly resolved with a head cleaning. The reason I'm mentioning it right now is the system for the Epson 1280 is clearance priced at $150 WITH 6 100ml bottles of pigment ink! It's only $70 for the system alone. I had been shopping for a system for a few weeks and from what I've seen those prices are a steal. I'm even considering buying an additional empty system just to have spare parts down the road. If anyone is in the market for a bulk system for a 1280 I suggest you take a look at this one. I did a search for info here on this system before buying and it seems it's not a widely used system but everyone using it seemed to be happy both with the system and the inks so I gave it a shot. So far I'm happy I did.

Thanks Lou. I appreciate the info you gave me and I was ready to buy the Coastal system but since we weren't even sure the pigment inks would solve all the problems we were having I didn't want to invest too much into what I considered to be a test. $150 for a full system vs. $200 for an empty one made it worth the gamble. As I said, so far I'm impressed with this system and the inks they included have solved our bleeding problems. I'm a happy guy this week and that's a rare thing.

Impressive prices comparing to Coastal, do they provide ICC profile, or have to buy seperately?
thanks,
Eroha

They do not supply an ICC profile but do link you to several options. It wasn't necessary for our purposes so I didn't look into cost.
