Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
Re: trying to get started with plastisol transfers (getting samples?)
I need advice from those who have used Insta (Lucy?)
I got their samples two days ago and noticed that the images were not mirrored. I thought that was strange but said whatever. I picked the flock to try first, followed the instructions on their site - it didn't even attempt to stick to the shirt. That's when I thought that maybe these were already pressed transfers, just for me to see the finished look. I talked to their rep yesterday, and she said that I was wrong, those were samples for me to test. I tried the flock again last night, also tried the transfer foil combo one - same thing. I mean it's not that they are coming out partially or just bad, I mean the paper even moves when I open the press as if there is no adhesive on that side and its not even intended to be pressed. Anyone has any advice or suggestions?
On the good note, I pressed their LabelTrans labels and they came out soooo nice .
Thanks guys

This is a silly question but are you pressing with the carrier sheet on top or on the bottom?

du-no about their transfers in detail ?
with the screen printed flock, there is an adhesive screen printed on the material in mirror image.... you then apply it like a normal transfer with the transfer sheet facing up....as far as I know.
