here are some of my heat transfer t-shirts.i made them with my desk top printer.i estimate they cost 2.75 to make.i sold them for about $19.83.some times more, some times less.like if a customer wanted me to sign an or remark the transfer that cost a bit more.some times i would airbrush some extra personalized art on the back of the shirts.

i charge more for custom cut to shape.this image is of our puppy "juby"made in 2004.100%cotton.
i used my desk top printer with dye ink witch come with the printer.i airbrushed it with createx.it washed well an lasted as long as my son fit it.

next heat transfers i had some one else make the transfer an press them on t-shirts for me.
i think that was 1993.i airbrushed a canvass 30x40 inches.photographed it with a 35 mm camera.
took the photograph to the person that makes the transfers.they made the transfers an t-shirt for $7.00.i sold them for about $19.75.if i airbrushed on them it was a bit more added to the cost.
the nice thing is they sold at my set ups while im working on other t-shirts.its like killing two birds with one stone.

next transfers i made.i was trying to gang sheet my transfers.i do the original airbrushed painting.photograph it scan in to the computer.in photoshop i would put four images on one piece of transfer paper.now im killing four birds with one stone.made a t-shirt with 4x5 image for under $3.00 sold them for $14.78.at my show i would hang the t-shirts up next to the original painting an the t-shirts sold like hot cakes.

then i found out about opaque transfers.now i can do black t-shirts.sweet.i started to play with different size options.i think this one is 5x7.for the jagged edges an to make it look cool.i used my wifes rubber stamping deckle scissors.thank ya mate.i got two images per transfer paper.again killing two birds with one stone.the t-shirt ages an cracks an thats ok with me cause it make my art work look better.thats God at work.i know with His hand in it,im a winner.

so photograph your works an make some transfer out of you printer.your printer has been costing you money.now you need to get payback!put that thing to work.at three dollars a pop maybe less then that you can give aford to give them away.i hope the wheels are turning.
my t-shirts here were made over four years ago.im now working on the next generation.im going to be using new pigment inks an a epson c88 printer for some very original transfers.also im gonna be doing some first time sublimation transfers.in september 2007.this post was made for the airbrushers i know.i thought it was ok for this site.
thank you all very much.helps you i hope.peter loran
