Default Bummed about Plastisol transfers

Hi gang,
I have been doing designs for many years using paintshop pro which is not a vector program. I have had a store at Cafepress for over 2 years & all they require is raster png files at 200 dpi. So, all my 140+ designs are in this format. I want to get some plastisol transfers made from the design below. It is only 2 colors, but it seems that since it is not a vector file, that my only choice is inkjet or laser transfers, which I do not really want to use. Does anyone know of a plastisol heat transfer store that can take this image below & make screen print heat transfers? I am looking to get at least 200 transfers to start with. The size I am looking for is not as big as the photo below. I am looking to get at least a 10x12 transfers for the back & ganged pocket sized for the front left pocket area.
Thanks,

don't be Bummed, ...it looks easy to re-create it.

that design is easy to re-create in 10-15 minutes in the proper vector type files for screens.

it looks like a 4 color, 2 greens, 1 black plus a white base if you want to print the lime green color on dark shirts.

just ask the art dep. of the transfer maker if they can just re-create the art for you. ...not complicated.

we are busy around here, perhaps have a look at the recommended transfer list makers on the board and just contact them about it. I'm sure they will help you with the art-ready.

You don't always need a vector file for plastisol transfers, it just makes life easier.

Contact some of the companies in the suppliers thread. I'm sure someone will be able to do it.

You have a couple of options:

1. Have your printer deal with it. It probably won't cost you more than 1/2 hour's art time... as long as the source artwork is good. For a single piece this is your best bet.

2. Farm out the conversion. There are a number of people who specialize in converting raster artwork to vector. I've used the vector doctor a few times.

3. Pick up Illustrator CS2 and learn to use the livetrace feature. Since you're already experienced with a drawing package, you probably won't have a hard time doing it. This is a worthwhile long-term investment.

From the artwork on your site, it doesn't look like vectorizing your existing artwork is a realistic option. That doesn't necessaritly limit you to inkjet or DTG... look into the process color option.

I think any custom transfer shop could produce that design with minimal art charges.
