Plastisol Transfer Help - What type of file do I need
I would like to purchase plastisol transfers. What type of file do I need to send these vendors so they can make my transfers? I am hoping to do most of the work so they don't charge me for doing it.
200-300 dpi files basically created in the size you want to print (AI, CDR etc) or Vector files. All depends on colors and what is being printed. If the file involves text save text as curves. Most transfer companies will tell you exactly what they want for a no art charge camera ready files.
Each company provides the info on their website regarding how to send them artwork & what formats they accept. Check this thread for some suppliers websites if you need to.

that means changing your FONT (text) to curves so that any computer/software can view your font When They DO NOT have your Font in their computer.
If you are not able to do it, just email them the FONT file that is stored in your computer usually in MY Computer/Fonts folder.
But all they really need to start with is a JPG or PDF file to QUICK VIEW your art, from there they will ask you for the Ready To Screens art file types etc... and inform you of any other stuff you should know relating to the Art and the job in general.
hope this helps some.

Re: Plastisol Transfer Help - What type of file do I need
The issue is not with the font being free, the issue is with sharing it with another person who did not buy it or who did not buy the program it came with.
Better just to convert the text to curves and not send font files.

....does that make it legal ?
anyway, I think the topic was about a font that can be used and the poster was asking for ways to send it to production/art/dep......until the Solmu paranoia kick in.
