Default Re: all over printing - screen printing print all-over the t-shirt with a belt printer

not sure if this fits in with the all-overall-printing but there is a guy that rents a studio in our building that makes shirts that are printed all-over. He uses heat transfers, max size 28x40, in solid spot colors up to 7 mixed with glitter colors too. The minimum is 100. He's not cheap and he is always booked up because he's a one man factory.

...he even makes them printed with different aromas...serious. When Im at the shop, I go to his back studio with a friend or 2 and try to figure out the different aromas (orange, coke, peanuts etc..) on the shirts. Really. ...he started this aroma thing a while back with plastic objects, a plastic coke can, a plastic orange etc... we had to tell him the fumes were a killer so he stoped that.

Anyways, We have done some transfers for him and have passed some buisness his way in the past and everyone so far is extremely happy with his work. Strange guy, no website no nothing, he's out here in the middle of no-where, never knows what to charge people etc.....all word of mouth.

here is a shirt I own he made.

Is he using multiple printed transfers, I assume he does. I guess he use the same transfer for different area as well. Very creative. I will definitely experiment in this area.

yes, he uses plastisol transfers, paints, glitter powders, candy wrappers and other stuff.

some transfers are custom made and with others he goes to the bunker that is full of all types of transfers and picks out some. Or he looks thru our Garbage bound defective transfer bin and recycles them.

he worked for us for a short time....but not his thing, can't handle the sell-sell, he's an artist I guess. Nice guy though.

He does his own plastisol or someone else does them?
Candy wrappers and glitter powder, do you know how this is used? Does he iron the wrappers onto a tshirt? wow!

I love how this guy is literally pasting trash on a t-shirt,
and people are probably paying boutique prices for it!

This man is a true artist alright...a damn good one!

(Think Warhol)
