Default Q's for heat transfers

my wife and I went to the ISS show in Orlando this weekend! I did get a lot of idea's and got a lot of input! but i did see a good amount of heat transfers there! I ask a lot of people about it, but still didn’t get any feed back i was looking for! what I don’t understand (sorry for sounding stuiped) is can I print a pic onto a transfer paper from my computer printer ( HP 4110 )? or do I need a printer just for transfers? or do I just need a transfer ink! and do they make a ink for my printer?

Thankyou.

Not stupid at all, that's what the idea, ask questions!
I print my transfers using a hp932c, they come out very well with the standard ink, you can get special inks as well.
Many people use different methods & I'm sure you'll get more info.

The best thing to do is try some inkjet papers from various vendors.

I see that is an officejet printer. You may like the images it prints (remember to mirror the output page)

I also went to the ISS in Orlando. I was there for test papers and vinyl samples.

Went to the Imprintable Warehouse area and met Josh... Very personable.

Went by Coastal's booth and met up with Keith... also very personable. I ended up with a great deal on the ArTanium dye sub setup and the C88+ they were using to demo at the show... (I wasn't even in the market for a dye sub print setup). I also have some sample items to print with it.

Tested some of the CLC paper last night. Some was good, some not so good. (finished cleaning up the fuser a couple of times...lol)

Thanks Keith!
