Default Inkjet Transfer are too glossy and hard

I've been getting alot of transfer business lately. I dont want my shirts to be glossy and hard. It's fine when I print on one side but when I turn the shirt over to print on the other side. the shirt becomes to stiff, sticky and glossy. I know It's due to the teflon sheet on my press and Its great for pictures. How can I obtain a matte look when I need to print boh sides. I can't let my shirt hang of the press I have to lay the whole shirt on the press so the other side gets presses again also. Help!!!!!

I open the shirt and only slide one side on. The collar is facing you after you do the first side and move on to do the second side.

This way, the t-shirts upside down when you do the back side.

My heat press sits on a table and its kind of hard to let the shirt hang off of it- Guess I need to change my set-up

Can you show us a picture? Mine sits on a table too. The opposite side of the t-shirt should slide underneath the bottom platen of the heat press.

You can search google for: Heat pressing two sided t-shirts. Hopefully you can find a Youtube video to watch from that search.

Its a geo knight dks20 swing press - not much room beneathe , unless i pull it out fromthe table. (cant do that its bolted down. But I did put a shirt on it and then turned it to the other side and it works!! Its kind of a hassle but I dont like that glossy look.
Thanks

I can do that with my DK-20. I do that when I have JPSS on the front and vinyl on the back. It's a little of a pain because the shirt is upside down but it works okay. Just remember to turn your print or vinyl upside down. Made that mistake. (only once )

I have a Hot Tronix/Stahls heat press. Had a Knight DK-20 before and we could do it with that too.

Try using a teflon pillow inside the shirt. This will give some extra heat protection to the bottom side.

This is what I would recommend also. A Teflon Pillow will insulate your shirt as well as create an even surface to heat apply on.
