Default difference between laser and inkjet transfers

hi,
as I can't find it in ht ejungle of information, I am asking here.
here's the situation.
I have a great color laser printer.
I have a c88+ (not even out of the box yet) inkjet.

There is a sale on CIS at one of the suppliers for a good price.

That said, how do the two technologies compare?
Which one is preferable?
I know its a personal choice in the end, but I see wonderful papers for the laser, but inkjet seems to be great too.
I just need some info before I invest in either a bulk ink supply or large amounts of laser paper.
How did you all decide?
thanks

I would contact duracotton and get some samples for your laser printer. NEW Digital Transfer Paper: DuraCotton98

You can buy pigment ink cartridges for your C88+ (not the CIS yet) and do some print and wash testing. I would start with the new version of IronAll. Jetflex Premium Inkjet Transfer Paper - Free Samples

Test both systems before you spend a lot of money, then go with the one that is best for you. Remember to do a lot of wash cycles to see how each hold up and retain color.

I find that this PDF from Hixcorp have some very good explanations on different types of transfers:

I now use a canon Color Laser Copier/Printer and very satisfied so far with the results, costs, and the process. I also use and sell ink jet transfers from time to time.
