Default A few heat transfer questions?

Does it help to iron over paper after applying the transfer to seal in the colors?

For inkjet printers, is it best to print at the highest resolution? I've heard too much ink will bleed when you press on it.

Will inkjet transfers last longer on a 50/50 blend vs 100% cotton? If a cotton shirt is not washed first and it shrinks a bit, can this ruin the transfer?

How long does it take for the ink to completely set? (or before I can wash it)

Thanks for all the help
Jim

Ironing over a transfer does not help seal in color.
I don't use the highest resolution. It might bleed if it is dye ink. I don't think you would have that problem with pigment ink.
I don't think it matters if it is 50/50 or 100 cotton.
I have washed shirts within the hour I printed them. Pigment ink dry pretty much right away. Think about it, your apply 350 + degrees to that shirt.

I really appreciate all that but.. I just answer what I know from doing what I do. There are numerous people here that offer a lot of advice that may even be more right on then I. master is not the word i would use. I think any one that tries different things to get results has info to share. I do a lot of that. I find out more making mistakes then I do to not try at all. If you could see what I am doing now you would know that for which I speak.. Before your mind wanders.. it is about vinyl and plastic..
