Default Epson 1280 inks

Hello People,
I have a question about the ink cartridges in the Epson 1280. Do they have the quality to produce heat press/ transfers from the factory? I also read yesterday that there were some problems with the bulk-ink set ups for the 1280, some would clog up the nozzles and some would drop ink spots on the paper. What would be a good quality bulk-ink company for the 1280? Thanks again for your help

I use the folks at Alpha Supply. DYESUBINKS.COM Ask for Roy. If you are doing Dye Sub they can get you the ArTainium inks, but they can also do the regular inks.

It is true that the system isn't perfect but a lot cheaper overall. I found that the only times I get ink drops and spots is when I haven't used it in a day or two. As long as you run off one image a day and run the deep cleaning utility if you see the black ink fade a bit you should have much fewer problems. All in all a bomber system.

The default inks in the Epson 1280 are dye inks, not the recommended pigment inks for inkjet transfers.

You can get a bulk ink setup from CoastalBusiness.com (with a forum member discount)
