Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I'm considering a Hix Presto 15 to print t-shirts and sweatshirts. My question is...can the Presto 15 transfer onto sweatshirts? The specs say, "applies transfers on items up to 1/8" thick."

Sorry for the stupid question earlier. I got it figured out.
I just wanted to thank everyone for providing such a helpful forum. I've learned alot just by reading thru old posts. It's alot to take in, but also alot of fun. I just bought my first heat press (Hix 15x15) and an epsom C88+ with Iron all transfer paper. I haven't ordered any plastisol transfers yet, but one step at a time!
I want to make it very clear.. no question here is stupid.. I heard this one time and it stuck with me.. I don't know, what I don't know..

I haven't tried it yet, but I talked with the fine folks at Coastal, and they told me the Hix Presto 15 will have no problems pressing a transfer onto a sweatshirt.

Well I wish you wouldn't have pulled back on your question because I'm about to buy the same machine and I would sure like to know if you can press on to sweatshirts. Does any 15x15 machine press on sweatshirts?
To be clear, Will the Hix Presto 15 work well with Plastisol transfers on sweatshirts? I am looking at starting and will not use the inkjet printer type transfers, but am looking at having custom plastisol transfers made.
I like the fact that the Presto 15 is portable as we are looking at servicing the sports tournament circuits out there.
Yes, the hix presto 15 will transfer plastisol transfers on sweatshirts just fine. Just make sure you prepress your sweatshirts at least 10 seconds as I've found there to be more moisture in the sweatshirts compared to t-shirts which if you think about it makes sense.
