Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
well, it's not that new but I'm finding that these are being made more and more today around here.
Basically it's the Graphic Plastisol transfer on one side of the release paper and on the other side its the same exact graphic on the same spot for easy positioning on the shirt (you see the graphic) along with application instructions and any other printed matter.
The Graphic plastisol heat transfer side is screen printed and the other side is done with Off-set printing.
this additional printed side is something like $ 100 CND for 1000 (2-3 color offset)...about.
what do you think ?
do you know of any plastisol companies that offer this in their service menues and price lists etc... ?
Hiya Lucy, I havent seen any suck animal before but I likes the idea. Ill look into it and see what I can find. Just a question though, do any plastisol transfers come on clear mylar?

thanks guys.... you're both nice. ...you're my funny Valentines.
clear Mylar plastisol transfers yes (i think). I know I have some around, looked for them in the last few months but I can't find them anywhere. I think they came from The Wildside as samples.
When I do find them I will post a picture. Really cool Idea.
Well, I was going to try and post a link, but the first hit on google was this thread. And that is about all I could find.
thanks for looking.
I wonder why there is not much talk about this type of thing ? It's so easy and economical to do.
Anyways,
I just tested the backside printing with our Xerox CLC and that works too on Plastisol Release paper. So, its Ideal for lower quntity runs like even 24 pcs. or so. Wow!!! the things you learn when forced to think about it.

thanks for your interest so far guys.
I guess if it's new and not many people are doing it, there's probably not much demand or talk about it. That's usually the case with newish products.
I haven't seen that, but it seems a GREAT idea to make pressing goof-proof. Maybe someone should do that as a service, They'd do great business being new and all....
I print on 100% release paper -- and you can see the transfer through the paper for proper placement. Wierd that you would have to print on both sides of the paper for proper placement.
A lot of oversea vendors print on clear film. I believe this kind of clear film/paper is illegal to print on in the U.S.A. That's why we can't use it here in California

hahahah -- that picture looks worse than I thought!
thanks, the photo looks good to me.
would you mind posting a photo of the other side (backside) of the transfer ? ...i know i'm asking a lot.
What is the name of that release paper ? is that transfer for printing on all colors and stretchy knits ? or for printing on light color jersey knit shirts only ?
the reason Im asking all these questions is because with high Glitter plastisol Transfers for example, they are printed on a thicker glossy paper and the design does not show thru the paper. This making it harder to position on the shirt (when doing a volume order lets say).
