Hi, I do a ton of Dark T-shirts and I would like to know in your opinion what is the best transfer paper to use as far as color, quality and durability for dark shirts when heat pressing.
I would like something that lasts so my customers will keep coming back.

Any kind of transfer for dark shirts is going to have a heavy, plastic-y feel. Also, they might not be very durable. If you don't want that, you should think about ordering some plastisol transfers (which are custom made by an outside company, then shipped to you).
It will depend on the design you want to print. For words, a vinyl transfer might be best for dark shirts. For a bit more complicated design, a plastisol transfer would probably be better.
Some people do OK with inkjet printed opaque transfers on dark shirts, but I personally wouldn't sell them to customers. Some markets actually prefer t-shirts printed with those type transfers, so it will partly depend on who you're selling to.
Say for instance I am printing a photo of micheal jordan dunking and that has a few different colors in in, would plastitol work for that type of design and also I have heard of dazzle overlay paper would that increase the durability of my opaque prints?

Yes, but you can't print plastisol transfers from your computer, they are printed by screen printers onto transfer paper and then sent to you.
I thought the dazzle overlay paper was to just make it glossier, but I may have read that it can make it more durable.
so what would you recommend for home opaque printing with multiple colors, regular heat transfer paper or heat transfer vinyl. I just want something my customers will be happy with at least after 5 washes?

You can't use vinyl for a photo, so that won't work.
An opaque transfer should last more than 5 washes, but it won't last as long as one of the more durable print methods.
oh I am sorry to hear that I was hoping for some great quality in one of those other forms cause I don't get too much positive feedback about the opaque transfers but I guess for the type of shirts I am doing I am limited to that process.
So which opaque brand transfer do you think is the best to use ?
I also plan to overlay it with dazzle paper so hopefully it will hold up longer with the overlay on it as well?
have you heard anything about dazzle paper and its durability?
