Default DK20s - heat press

Anyone else purchase this heat press?

So far, Coastal Business Supplies is giving me the best price of $1,329 with free shipping.

Not sure if I want the stand.

I have it and yes, you want the stand. The press is heavy! The stand has wheels and makes moving the press simple. Costal is the best price out there with the free shipping.

The stand is a must if you want to move the press around. I think the press itself weighs 160 lbs.

I ordered it from Coastal, and received a call from them.

The unit wt is too much for UPS. It is shipped via trucking line, and you will be charged for it.

After listening to all the things they needed from me for this unit, I just told them to cancel the order.

Then, I called Imprintables. They set me up with the the automatic digital Pheonix Phire (16x20), Pheonix Mug Press automatic digital and Mighty Press digital Cap Press with free shipping and a great deal (less than $2,200.00)

This is funny. They shipped mine free via common carrier. Oh well, as long as you got a good deal I guess it all works out.

As for the stand, I thought building one from heavy wood and put some wheels. I think over $200 is a lot for a stand.

The press is approx. 210 lbs and I definitely will need something to roll it around. Might build something just as good.

I was told free shipping if I go and up from the carrier.

The main reason for this press is the purpose of printing ceramic tile evenly. Otherwise, I would be looking at another press.

thanks all

Hello Everyone,

I want to clarify our shipping policy for the DK20S. The press is in fact too heavy to ship via UPS so we have to ship it on a skid via Truckline. We will cover the shipping cost, but we will not cover any additional fees that the truckline companies can charge, such as a Residential Fee. However, we have found that we can ship to a truckline hub in your area and the customer can go pick it up for no additional fee to get around this residential fee. This is really the only popular press that we sell that has to ship via truckline. We offer a wide range of Geo Knight, Hix & Mighty Presses that do not exceed UPS' weight limit.

So, in short, if you are in a commercial area, you will not have to pay any shipping costs for the DK20S. If you are in a residential area you will have to pay a $55 residential fee, which is a small price to pay when it actually costs anywhere between $150 - $250 to ship.

I hope this helps clear things up...

If I had been offered the truckline hub option, I would own the DK20S today from your company. I am glad to hear the issue has been clarified for those ordering in the future.

Also make sure if in a residential area they send a truck with a lift gate. This could add a few bucks more for the lift gate.

Just make sure you are standing out there with a sixpack when the truck pulls up.

I am pretty sure I will be making my purchase from Coastal. I know from many past purchases, I have to do a lot of homework here. Companies say one thing to get your business and then after the purchase other things come to light. I like to feel comfortable with the purchase because it is a lot of money. I am eager to get my equipment and to less my time working in corporate america. thanks all.
