Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
What's up everybody i'm starting up my new t-buis and im wondering should i by the heat presses and printers or should i use a local printer...secondly i have an old epson printer ...is that good enogh what is the standard at home printing or printer???and if so which printer is the best for mass usage....Thanx..to the masses!
Starting my own t-business...should i go ahead and buy a heat press , and printer and start from home with everything or would it be more cost effective to go to the printers....what's everybody else doing out there...need some ADVICccccccccccccccce! Also i have an old epson is that a good enough printer any recommendation on what step to take
Everyone has their own favorite method of printing.
For inkjet transfers people here seem to prefer the epson so you're o.k there.
Heat presses are capable of pressing inkjet, plastisol & vinyl transfers.
You can outsource screen printing, custom plastisol transers & vinyl as well.
Or you can have the whole process outsourced.
It really all depends on how involved in the process you want to get.
Hope that help a bit.
I really want to get into it with printers heat presses the hole deal.....i just wonder from the business end if it would be more viable to just design and do the printing outside or are people really successfull doing there own printing....from a commercial standpoint is it viable to do it all at home...this can get really addictive
People here seem to be successful doing both!
If you get large orders maybe then you can sub the work out?
But then again people here do very large orders themselves as well.
I probably have not really helped give you a definite answer, there are many members using both business models, perhaps they can give more detailed answers.
