Default Major doubt on transfers/DTG economics?

I had the impression all along that transfers/DTG were the best way for small lot sizes (100 or less). But a guy I met recently at a trade fair says that he needs atleast 2000 to make it economical is he talking about flock/sublimation transfers?.

I don't know what he is talking about, but I know he's not talking about ordinary inkjet transfers or DTG printing.

I'm not sure what kind of economics he's doing That sounds like a really high number.

You can get the actual numbers for yourself and add it up. That will give you the facts.

Wow, 2000 shirts per order or per month? And what does he mean by economical, as in worth doing?

If they are talking 2000 shirts per order, and you were associating it with full-color prints.... maybe they were talking about four color process screen printing? That's the only thing I can think of where that high of a minimum would make sense.
