Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
You can find also find lots of answers from past discussions with the search feature (or the popular search keyword tags). That will help you narrow down to find topics about equipment, printing methods, t-shirt brands, etc. If you don't find the answers you need, feel free to post your question.
That will mostly be a matter of opinion. Some people will prefer screen printing and that setup and some will prefer heat transfers.
The more you read here, the more you'll able to see which you think is best. It can also help to attend a tradeshow if one's coming to your area. That will let you see the different technologies in action and see finished products.
I'm fairly new myself, but i can offer a run-down of what my equiptment list looks like. Just to be clear, im in the process of starting a t-shirt company using oringinal designs. Inkjet printing as well as custom plastisol transfers are my printing methods.
List:
1. Heat Press-(15x15 at least....ask anybody!)
2.Graphic Design Program-(Corel and Illustrator are great programs for graphic design )
3.Printer-( Epson C88+ For inkjet transfers)
4. Transfer paper-( There are quite a few sites that sell them, Proworld....)
5. T-shirts-(You can find blanks everywhere!)
Thats the basics. With these four items you can start designing, printing, and pressing, your own stuff.
