Default Low Tack Vinyl for Electrical Equiptment

Hi
Following on from the discussion about Decals and getting the most out of your ROBOCUTTER, I am trying to find the vinyl used to make IPOD/LAPTOP/MOBILE phone decals. I've looked on Orafol(sp?), and can't see it, or rather I don't know what it's called. I've looked on several sites, and I can't see it. Does anyone know what it's actually called, and where I can buy it from. Ideally I'd like to print on it with an epson and cut out with my Robo. I know where some templates are as the site was given previously (although some more templates would be useful ).

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Hey Natashatee,

Just a heads up. I ran a vinyl decal cart in my local mall for 5 months. I shut it down and moved online because mall rent is too high.

Anyway. I did a few vinyl decals for cellphones while I was there. I called them Cellphone Tattoos. I stuck one on my phone as well just to see how they held up. After about a week of pulling it out of my pocket, all of the corners started to lift off (it was a tribal design with lots of points). I used Oracal intermediate calendered vinyl by the way. Might have had better luck with cast vinyl, but I doubt it. Constant abrasion will damage vinyl.

I ended up pulling down my ad for the Cellphone Tattoos since I didn't feel comfortable selling a product that would soon look like horrible. I still did a few more, but I always let the customer know that it would start to wear based on use.

Hi Thanks for this. Very interesting. I've seen a few knocking about where they guarantee that this will not happen (people selling decals). I read somewhere where they add vinyl laminate on top of the vinyl to protect it even more... Im still researching to be honest.

Thanks for your help
