Default Photo product sales

I am hoping I could get feedback on the popularity of inkjet transfer photo products such as tee's, sweats, coasters, aprons, puzzles, totes etc verses custom design inkjet transfers and or plastisol designs.

I will be operating a home based PT business with all marketing for now being word of mouth and printed flyers.

For the folks involved in both types of products what type of mix do you have? I know the photo products must be popular because every company involved in photography/film developing (Wal-mart to web) usually offers a few products of this type.

Thanks for your feedback.

Chip

I think several members on the forum do photo type products (binki and badalou come to mind). Hopefully they'll (or anyone else with experience) will see this and have a chance to post.

We do a lot of photo work and it is all dye-sublimation except for our sports balls. We claim we can print on anything.

Be forwarned, you will get the most awful pictures from people to put on things. Not the content, but the quality of the image. Be prepared to spend some time with these pictures and you will run into the ones that won't look good no matter what you do.

We do not operate a store front, but our most popular products this Christmas season were single ceramic tiles, mugs and jewelry boxes (w/tile).
