Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
hi there! just wanna ask you guys what should i do to take out the opaque paper out of a shirt and replace it with a bigger design? i tried putting a bond paper on top and heatpressed it for 352 deg farenheit and still the transfer paper did not adherd with the bond paper. any help will be greatly appreciated.
Some opaque that has very sticky top coating like Alpha Gold can be lifted off the shirt using plain paper. You have to peel both the opaque and the bond paper together while hot. Peeling just the plain paper will not lift the opaque off the fabric. Even though it is successful in peeling the opaque the adhesive will stay on the fabric. So to remedy that, press a new opaque with printed image slightly larger than the adhesive trace to cover it. You can press another opaque over the old one but the end product will be too thick and have very heavy hand.
