Discuss the various aspects of heat press technology. Transfer paper, inks, plastisol transfers, vinyl cutters, printers, commercial usage, durability, suppliers, etc.
I don't know how easily you can get them shipped to the UK (assuming that's where you are?), but Transjet II/Magic Jet and IronAll/SoftFeel are both high quality papers that you should be able to get for less than $1.00 US per sheet (I'm not 100% certain on the IronAll, but I know Magic Jet can be gotten $0.75 a sheet in bulk).
The most popular Epsons for T-shirts are probably the C88+ and the 1280. The C88+ is a very cheap printer that works great, and the 1280 is on the affordable end of wide-format printers - but does often have problems with CIS systems. There are several other good choices as well, though.

Thanks. can those brands be used with heat presses?
ive used an iron with transjet ii... works pretty good.
I've only tried that briefly myself, and granted, it was on a tote bag, but the results were less than stellar for me.
Of course, there are other disadvantages to using an iron too, such as a lot more time spent making a shirt, and the heavi physical labor of pressing down on shirts repeatedly.
I should have read your post first because I am having a problem with my Epson 1280 and the CIS. I did not know the 1280 had difficulties withe the CIS.
Just to follow up is there a way to fix this?

Yes, though it may take some work. I believe the first thing to try is to get the ink level with the height the cartidges would've been at - put something solid under the ink reservoirs to raise the height a bit.
I've not personally had any experience with it, only heard stories. There are several posts discussing the 1280 here; if you run a search for 1280 you'll (eventually) find what you're looking for. (I don't think you can search for 'cis' since it's only 3 letters, but you might also try '1280 bulk' or '1280 problem' or similar to narrow it down.)
At that prices you mentioned above, it almost seems like it would be less expensive to order from the US (especially since the pound is stronger than the dollar).

Thanks Rodney. I do need to know quality though. No point me buying this if I don't know what whether the quality is any good. thanks anyway

You might want to try contacting them to see if you can buy a "tester" pack to see the quality. That way you can see it for yourself without buying a whole bunch
