Default A quick intro and heat press related question!

Hi guys,
after several weeks 'lurking' I have decided to sign up to this wonderful community! I am new to the T-shirt world so please be patient! Before I bombard you with all my questions, I have attached an images of Ben Sherman tees (Paul smith produces a similar style.) The look/style, but more importantly the technique, is what I'm hoping to achieve with my designs. So my question.... how the hell is it done?!! I'm assuming a transfer paper/heat press combo? (Apologies for the large image, still getting used to all this.)

Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thanks guys
Mark

Hi Mark,
Welcome to the T-shirt forum!
Not sure the exact method used in the photo, but similar results could be achieved with a good quality dark transfer paper with inkjet printer, a newer laserprinter transfer method using Paropy paper, or direct to garment (DTG) printing using white ink for darks.
Maybe even some others I'm not aware of........
Glad to have you aboard.

I would personally use vinyl for the writing underneath the graphic, as well as the methods mentioned above.
