can you buy suitable inks for them??

im only going to be printing black images

I'm pretty sure Dell doesn't actually make the printers. Check to see if it is an Epson, HP, or Cannon (very likely to be one of the three), and we can probably give an answer based on that.

I am 99% sure that DELL printers are made by Lexmark.

Dell printer are made by Lexmark. Trust me.. and they suck.... When I was an epson rep at Best Buy The HP rep and myself would make comments about how few lexmarks this major chain was selling.A lot of times they got sold only because they were bundled with a computer as part of the sale.

I have a Lexmark from Dell. It sucks. I think it stopped working as soon as the warranty was over. Buy something else.
