Recomend any good free or low price plug ins for Corel Draw 3X
Hi guys. Hugs lol
I am waitig to receive my Corel Draw 3x in the mail and wondering if anyone knows of any good free or low price plug ins for it.
Currently I will be doing a lot of vector clip art like stuff in it and converting images to vectors a lot. I am planning on playing around with a lot of clip art stuff to learn how to use Corel Draw better , played around with it a lot back in the mid 90's and did some good artwork with it , print industry stuff. Also want an need to do a lot of halftone stuff with images. Text is very important to me and something I wish to master. Also planning to get heavily into color seps as eventually might have a local Canadian Screen printer with good prices make some stuff and there are no artwork or setup charges if you do your own seps so for small orders it will be worth reading.
So looking for plug ins that are for both work and play that are both usefull and will help me learn.

100% of what you mentioned don't require plug-ins.
Once you get your copy and get reacquainted, let us know what it's not doing for you and we can let you know if there is a plug-in for that issue.
Meantime, you can browse Corel DRAW tutorial for plug-ins. But don't think you are going to need them to get things done, you won't. I have been using Corel since version 3 and I have never had to use a plug-in.

Advanced artist has some cool free stuff for Corel draw, in fact just earlier I seen that they have a half tone converter plugin for free on this page advancedtshirts.com - Free Stuff. They do have some awesome freebies for sure Hope this helps. They also have a ton of tutorials and training programs that are great. Hope this helps

Thanks the half tone converter looks real interesting might be just what I need for one of my DTG images that has huge areas of white and really light gray on white shirts.

I'd steer clear of any plugins. There aren't too many useful plugins for most graphics programs but there are a few. Usually plugins are a simple way to do something that would take quite a few steps otherwise. Since you are new to this, you probably shouldn't be taking any shortcuts and should try to learn the program and all it's default features.

Thanks for the advise makes sense. I want to play with the halftone one though as I want to play with halftones for DTG printing and will need to output a .png with them in the graphic. Thinking of using halftones on large white gray areas on white shirts to break up the shirt white area as the filfillent services do not print white on light shirts.

That reminds me, I need to find a halftone plugin for Illustrator. I really want to do a shirt with a half-toned photograph. I think they look really cool.
