First off I am an all out photoshop guy, I have some real simple logos that I wanted to convert to vector so I open up Ai CS4 and decide to try the Live trace out....
It always takes my straight lines and makes them a bit wavy and I have no idea if I'm even doing this right.
If i could send the psd to someone maybe someone could help out please?
Have you done anything with the settings in the preset options panel? This is where you can control how it traces. I use it quite a bite and love it. If you need further help let me know, I'll see what I can do.

Yeah i've messed around with presets to no avail....i really don't know what im doing. help would be great!
Live Trace is good when you have a high resolution image without crazy gradients or anything.
The best way to make something simple into a vector is to just use the pen tool and draw it out manually. It'll give you more control and you won't have any artifacts and weird **** like you do with Live Trace.
