Default illustrator cs4 trace help

I'm a FreeHand user and I am trying to convert over to Illustrator whenever Adobe decides to officially kill off FreeHand.

I am trying to use live trace with a pretty complex black and white illustration. I am only using Black and white as my option, but my question is, why does Illustrator do double traces? I never had this complication with FreeHand. All these extra nodes add file size and when you try to use the vector in any other program, it fills in white and there's no easy way to separate the double traced images.

Is there a setting to get rid of this option? I just want one single trace for every line, not multiple traces.

As you can see from the images, there is a thin black outline, that is actually 2 traces of the same image. I have to select one and delete in order for the black to come through properly. This illustration would take me at least 10-15 minutes to do this.

Ok, Nevermind. I think I just answered my own question. I needed to click on "Ignore White".

I figured I'd leave it up for any other "silly people" like myself who might have the same question.
