[CorelDraw] - cant get a picture clear on coreldraw
hello i am haveing problomes with takeing a picture off of the internet and inlarging the picture when i get it biger it show all blurry and i have corral draw i tryed everything does any one have ansers?
Sounds like the image you downloaded from the internet is small / low resolution. If that is the case, you will be limited in what you can do with that image.
Have you tried finding the same image in a higher resolution ?
I agree with everyone else. And with that said... Your better off redrawing it. Also make sure your not violating any copyrights, most images on the net are copyrighted.
Words to live by... "When you start bad, you end bad."
That basically means nothing good comes from using a low resolution image when screen printing.
I have since hearing that statement applied it to my daily life and it is true in almost every situation in life as well as screen printing.
Moving forward...
Images on the internet are normally set to 72dpi which is in most cases not good enough resolution for screen printing. As said above Corel is not a photo manipulation software io it will do you noo good to make the image look better. You would want to use something like Photoshop where you can add higher resolution to an image. The problem with that is your are not adding quality, just pixels. There are techniques to add resolution and run filters to clean the image up. There are also photoshop plug ins that will do the work for you. But the bottom line is you can't add quality to a low resolution image.

Heed the above words of wisdom. Unless you manually recreate the image or have the right software and experience in using it, it is virtually impossible to create quality work from a poor image.
If you want to resize the image from the internet, you indeed need to convert the image into vector file
for vector file can be enlarged or narrowed into any size without losing the resolution. So if you want to
use it, you should redawn it and convert it to vector file.Just a little advice......
In CorelDraw you can edit bitmap in CorelPaint and try to resample image a couple of times. More than likely it's at 72dpi, resample to 100 dpi then again to 150 dpi and so on. It might be good enough to use for your project then, or at least it might be a little sharper to run a trace on in CorelDraw.
Try to print the image in the size that you have it in as high quality as you can. Then take the print and scan it in at a high resolution (you might have to do some tweaking to get it right), now you should have a farely clean image and you can use corel trace to vectorize it and then resize it. Won't be much good with a vinyl cutter unless you do alot of cleanup. But should work ok with screen print.
