What does VBA stand for when talking about corel draw 4x? I was gonna get the education edition just to learn since its so much cheaper than the full version, then later get the full. Is the VBA the only difference between the two and without vba in the program, would this prevent me from learning the program?? Thanks for any help!!!
Not sure what price you are getting for the education edition, but there is a post floating around saying ebay has the full version for sale for $80 some dollars.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it cost extra to get the learning edition then purchase the full version? Shouldn't you just get the full?
Have you used this program before?
I've never tried it. Got into Adobe Illustrator instead. Kinda just made sense since I use Adobe for everything else and all the programs in the suite are pretty compatible.
If you don't really have any experience with Corel Draw you might look into Illustrator. There seems to be a lot more tutorials and such on the internet for Adobe Illustrator than Corel Draw
The education version is considered 'stripped down' since it does not have VBA, and is cheaper. The education version is limited to purchases by students and educators only.
If you have not used other Adobe products, then Corel is easier to learn than Illustrator. If you have Photoshop then it reasonable to purchase Illi over Corel.
The education version is $100 compared to $400 for the full version. The $300 is a big difference for me financially right now. I figure I could buy the education version (luckely I am a student, if that's even required to purchase it) and get familiar with it then try to buy the full. Although I did search corel draw x4 on amazon and found it for under $300 so now it might not be a bad idea to purchase the full version at that price. I have no experience with none of the graphic software and corel just seemed more user friendly. Is corel more user friendly than adobe software for someone with no experience with either? Thanks guys for all the input and help!!!!
Search e-bay for corel draw. Often you can find an older version, maybe 12, for less than the edu version. You will have a fully functional version and the ability to upgrade later.
